Key Objectives of the Job:
The Construction Manager is responsible for the organization and direction of direct hire construction and related activities to ensure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with project established HSE requirements, design/specifications, and completed on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for jobsite operations including all onsite activities of AJES, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and their representatives.
2. Responsible for the direct hire field manpower organization to ensure the jobsite organization is composed of qualified and knowledgeable personnel, and ensures effective personnel utilization.
3. Establishes, coordinates and implements construction schedules, manning charts, as well as material and equipment requirements.
4. Controls jobsite expenditures for labor, equipment, material and services and ensures field operations are within the budget.
5. Responsible for overall supervision of all construction personnel in the project.
6. Ensures performance evaluations are conducted on all assigned personnel and counseling programs are maintained.
7. Ensures subordinate personnel receive progressive training to enable them to assume additional responsibilities.
8. Implements HSE Program and ensures strict adherence to national and local safety codes.
9. Responsible for administration of contractual activities. Participates in contracts and subcontracts negotiations.
10. Plans and implements procedures to ensure construction operations are continuously adhering to engineering designs, specifications, quality standards, schedules and budget.
11. Responsible for coordination of construction operations to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.
12. Maintains relationships with the client and their representatives, as assigned.
13. Performs general administrative functions inherent in jobsite supervisory positions.
14. Ensures corporate policies and procedures are fully implemented. Establishes field procedures and objectives within corporate policies and procedures, as necessitated by conditions at a jobsite.

· The construction activity is delivered on time, to budget and to the established quality & HSE requirements.
· The construction activity is effectively resourced & managed.
· Client satisfaction is achieved.

Technical Competencies:
|
Knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to field activities of all engineering disciplines, all construction technologies and jobsite management.

Minimum Experience:
|
10 – 15 Years
|
|
Minimum Education:
|
· A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline
OR
· Specialized courses in construction management
AND/OR
· Work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above.
