Immediate Supervisor:
Construction Manager
Direct Reports:
§ General foremen and craft supervisors
§ Collaboration with all departments within Al Jaber Energy Services.
Position Objective:
Supervise and control all activities performed within the craft designation. Ensure that the execution of work is safely, efficiently and timely performed, evaluate the work in progress, pinpoint weaknesses and deficiencies and make corrective actions to manpower and equipment as necessary.
Principal Responsibilities / Duties:
§ Provide initial planning input for the work (Manpower, Machinery, Materials & Equipment)
§ Initiate field requisitions for craft tools and consumables
§ Maintain control of distribution and use of tools and equipment allocated
§ Prepare resource loaded three week lookahead schedules.
§ Ensure installation is in compliance with engineering and quality requirements.
§ Provide input to method statements for execution of work.
§ Coordinate requirements for permanent plant material with Field Engineer and Materials Manager
§ Coordinate work with HSE Engineers, to ensure that all Health, Safety and Environment regulations and requirements are strictly adhered to.
§ Coordinate with QA/QC inspectors to verify and ensure that Construction activities and facilities are being completed in accordance with current specifications and standards
§ Provide progress information and data on daily work activities.
§ Coordinate with HSE, QA/QC and Subcontract Management to ensure that subcontractor’s work scope is implemented safely and in accordance with project requirements and that subcontractors’ activities are efficiently inspected, supervised and monitored.
Previous Experience:
§ At least 10 years in direct supervision of construction in the designated craft, 8 of which will have been on international Oil and Gas projects
§ Familiar with International Standards for Construction Management and will have worked within multicultural environments.
§ Good command of English and written communication skills, computer.

§ Continuous update on issues related to project construction efficiency.
