· Assisting the Project Manager to ensure the correct and timely execution of construction activities
· Prepare planning schedules for the entire work (Manpower, Machinery, Materials & Equipment)
· Prepare quality plans for civil and structural works of the project
· Ensure that correct construction drawings are issued to site.
· Ensure availability of construction material, manpower and equipment is available in line with the construction schedules.
· Prepare construction methodology for work to be executed.
· Oversee the preparation of Shop Drawings for all works;
· Oversee all construction details including finishing and painting;
· Ensure formwork for rigidity for strength to withstand deflection.
· Monitor and implement the Progress of Work as per the planning schedules QA/QC and HSE procedures;
· Attend site management review meetings to discuss various construction related issues and opportunities for system and execution improvements.
· Coordinate with QA/QC and Site Construction Superintendents to verify and ensure that civil end facilities are being completed in accordance with current specifications and standards.
· Coordinate between the HSE Manager, QA/QC Manager, Subcontract Manager, and the Sites Construction Superintendents to make sure that the construction organization is implemented and that the contractor’s and subcontractors’ works and performance are efficiently inspected, supervised and executed
· Coordinate between Project Manager and Site Construction Supervision to verify that project is going on schedule and within budget limits
· Liaise and control all construction matters and works of sub-contractors, to ensure Client’s satisfaction and quality of work produced.
· Prepare mandatory reports of construction and costing data in compliance company policy and costing requirements.
Knowledge Base:
A. Academic Education
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or equivalent in the field of specialization and/or Member of Professional Organisation.
B. Professional Education
In-depth knowledge of construction management and recognized practices and principals.
Experience in Oil & Gas Industry construction projects in the Arab world and internationally.
C. Special Knowledge
· Project management and construction skills; develop coherent team to achieve strong presence and recognition within the project members, consultants, subcontractors and client.
· Computer literate and fluency in oral and written English (Arabic is an advantage), Previous Experience:
· Experience of at least 15 years in construction management of civil work preferably of Petrochemical Projects (on site and in office) covering a broad range of activities, with reputable construction companies in the Gulf Countries.
· Should be familiar with international Standards for Construction Management and should have worked within such environments. Able to manage, implement and control the project and work construction within set time frame and within a multicultural environment.

· Excellent command of English (Arabic is an advantage); good communication skills, and Computer literate.
