· Implementation of HSE and security systems on project site
· Responsible for safety and security planning, control and improvement at site
· Assist the team regarding safety procedures approval and implementation.
· Responsible of the reporting flow within the environmental team and in charge of the Office Environmental File (reporting procedure,);
· Make HSE and security inspection and ensure compliance with project matrix, and follow-up of all initiative and corrective actions (from the initiative and non compliance forms).
· Ensure the proper use of reports and forms of all sorts as required for HSE and security reports on all aspects of the project.
· Conduct HSE and security inspections on all incoming functions on site and where necessary.
· Join the periodical review meetings at site to discuss various HSE and security related issues and opportunities for system improvements.
· Coordinate with site team, supervisors and sections units for all safety and security and environmental related matters.
· Liaise and control various HSE and security matters and works of sub-contractors. To ensure client’s satisfaction and quality of work produced.
· Prepare mandatory reports as instructed of HSE matters in compliance company policy and clients recommendations and requirements proposed by the Client.
B.Sc. Engineering and/or HSE Management or related science/engineering area, plus a relevant work experience in Health Safety and Environment within the Oil Industry.
B. Professional Education
· In-depth knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry HSE systems and management of the HSE through recognized practices and principals in the Arab world and internationally.
C. Special Knowledge
· Project and HSE management skills, able to develop coherent team spirit to achieve strong presence and recognition within HSE Team and the project.
· Expand project base with efficiency and professional performance and HSE awareness.
· Computer literate able to prepare work progress reports and recommend alternative training and educational HSE awareness plans;
· Experience of at least 5 years in HSE measures of the construction work of Petrochemical Projects (on site and in office) covering a broad range of activities, with reputable construction companies in the Gulf Countries.
· Familiar with the International Standards for Safety and Security Systems and should have worked within such environments.
· Skillful, meticulous, detailed oriented, with an assertive personality, a good team player, fluent in English language and computer literate
· Decisive, well balanced and processes strong project & time management skills
· Understand Interpersonal relationships and overall project strategies.
· Analyse and resolve and tackles serious incidents and situations in professional manner
· Accountability and self-management.
