·            Implementation of accurate measurements and surveying methodology in line with project plans.

·            Interact with foremen, supervisors and site engineers to provide timely surveying information to facilitate the daily performance of their tasks.

·            Develops a fully systematic documentation procedure, proposing amendments and alternatives to improve work systems.

·            Ensure the proper use of development of report forms of all sorts as required for
surveying reports on all aspects of the project to assist in raising claims for variations.

·            Attend periodical site review meetings to understand scope of work and reflect changes on the ground when necessary.

·            Coordinate with sites supervisors for all surveying related matters.

·            Liaise and control various land surveying matters and works of sub-contractors, to ensure client’s satisfaction and quality of work produced.

·            Prepare mandatory reports of land surveying matters in compliance project plans and variations orders.

·            Ensure land surveying equipment assigned to him are well kept and maintained clean in proper working order at all times.

Knowledge Base:

A. Academic Education

·            B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent qualifications.

·            Relevant qualifications and experience in using all types of surveying equipment, maintains Quality Control and Quality Assurance awareness to all jobs performed by his team.

B. Professional Education

         In-depth knowledge of all types of surveying equipment frequently used in the construction of Oil & Gas Industry projects, as well as a good knowledge of construction mechanism.

         Excellent report writing and communication skills

C. Special Knowledge

·            Well versed with Electronic theodolite and Total Station equipment used for land surveying familiar with ISO standards;

·            Fluency in oral and written English (ability to communicate in Arabic is a great advantage);

·            Must be computer literate able to work under pressure and within set guidelines and should have excellent report writing abilities.

·            Experience of at least 10 years in construction work of Oil & Gas Industry Projects (on site and in office) covering a broad range of activities, with reputable construction companies in the Gulf Countries.

·            Well versed with the electronic Theodolite, Total Station and land surveying equipment, able to manage and train Surveying team members

·            Should be familiar with Quality Assurance and Quality Control, and HSE, should be a constant learner and keeping up to date with the equipments used for Land Surveying purposes.

·            Skillful, meticulous, detailed oriented, assertive, Fluent in English language and computer literate.
